Canvas Quizzes for Tutorials on Writing Reports
as an Engineer or Scientist

In a writing-component course such as first-year design or chemistry laboratory, the engineering or science instructor is expected to bridge the writing gap between the writing of essays learned in first-year English and the writing of technical reports. However, this gap is much larger and more complex than most instructors realize.
Our short tutorial and full tutorial on writing reports in engineering and science address the most common deficiencies and misconceptions that engineering and science students have about writing technical reports. This page presents Canvas quizzes that instructors can use to test whether students understand the content of those tutorials.
